It's unlikely you'll get a definitive answer to your plant's identity because of its relative obscurity and the lack of information. You might consider seeking the help of the author of the PDF document referenced earlier as he appears to be an expert on Aichryson. The following appears at the end of the document:

Okay, I think mine might be a Aichryson hybrid of somesort or another

Posting new pics of the same plant. Mom's sample (inside on kitchen cupboard - too cold outside). Smells like stinky feet when distrubed. I still have 3 more pics to upload - but another day.

Judy mentioned at the start "It occasionally has a small yellow star-like flower." Everything mentioned has inflorescences, groups of flowers. Do those Crassulaceae sometimes produce single flowers?

I looked at Sundrop's post about the aeonium and on the picture sent, a comment is left saying Aeonium goochiae and A. viscatum were hard to choose between in the I.D. of that plant. So I looked up A. viscatum and found this picture with these yellow flowers. http://www.flickr.com/photos/unigoettingen/7140776821/ Do they look like your flowers? If so, maybe your plant could be an Aeonium.

The stems on your plant honestly look similar to that of my A. arboreum. And in your new pictures, the second one with the leaves from the back... Where there are old dried up leaves, they look like those on my A. arboreum.

Just an idea. I don't mean to send you off your track. And maybe Aeonium and those other plants are somewhat related. I wouldn't know. I hope this'll help.

looks way too big. Plant only gets about 2-3 inches tall. See earlier pics. Small cluster of flowers - it's been quite a few years.

Here's that first link in Google English.
And the second link in Google English, with essentially the same text, but more photos, including one showing the inflorescence better.

One more question about this plant. If I were to use bonsai wire what gauge would i use and is it advisable?
