    Hello.

Have germinated dozens of date palms, but have noted something odd on the last bunch. Two seedlings (germinated same time), showed the same growth and appearance up until a week ago. One has put out a new leaflet, but the other curled up vertically. Their color & height are the same. Both as mentioned above were germinated at the same time and in the same medium. Both were replanted is the same soil, identical pots, & are located outdoors in the same place.

Any information offered would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The Date Palm with the curled leaf is going to Date Palm Heaven.

Do those pots have drainage holes at the bottom? If not, transfer the seedlings to pots that do.

Thanks all for the input. Hahaha, date palm heaven it is =(. There are holes in all the pots, but it sure seems he took a heavier soaking. Heart pulled out.
