British Columbia: rooting in water off cuttings?

    Can I start "cuttings" off of a Dead nettle (lamium) ground cover"? To put in water to see if roots?

    Don't waste your time. Try something more valuables and more challenging.

    probably.

    it would be easier--if you have a lot of it--to dig up a little and tease apart the roots to get a bit with some roots attached or even cut apart some of the roots to separate the crown if you can't separate the roots without cutting.

    you shouldn't have a problem.
