Pictured next to my christmas cactus. It seems so similar but not the same size. additionally the source of the nest leaf is not always the same place. any thoughts?

I am in the process of trying to graft them but I wanted to know if it was even worth trying.

    Thanks

Notice that the taller plant is not broken up into crab-like segments.

ah thanks. Looks like it will make some great flowers. I bought it a some roadside sale with no details. Looks like my graft will be very unlikely to take.

Still worth trying a graft, as cacti have very wide cross-compatibility. But also (even easier), just take some cuttings - cut a piece off, let it dry for a few days to form a callus (protects the cutting from decay) and plant in a well-drained soil mix.

Here is a photo of my amateur grafting work. They seem like such similar plants so I can hope.

I will post again in this tread if it actually works. Otherwise I will also update my blog post of it.
