Hi there - Can someone please help me to identify these two wildflowers. They were both found in the BC Cariboo region near Clinton, B.C. (by Big Bar Lake). Thank you.

The first is the seedhead of Geum triflorum, a native species.

The second is the introduced Echium vulgare. I saw large swaths of this near Merritt last weekend.

Echium is classified as an Invasive Species in the Cariboo/Chilcotin district.

Its nice but keep a watch on it. If it gets carried away call the Invasive Plant Council of B.C and they will come and dig them out. ( no fee that I know of )
