How to pinch Rubber Tree to apical meristem ?

    Hi,

    I have a rubber tree and would like to pinch the apical meristem to make it more bushy But I really dont konw how to do it
    Should I :
    1. Cut the very smal apical tip with a pair secateur
    2. Use my fingers and pinch the apical . But how much strngth should I apply ????
    3. Use a pair of plyers to pinch it ?

    I think you'd probably want to be pinching at the terminal node to encourage branching, rather than the meristem - the meristem is buried inside a lot of tissue at the base of the plant. Have you tried trimming off the main stem just below the point of new growth? That normally encourages branching in rubber trees.
