What's this fruit from Japan?

    I came across this plant on my trip to Japan last October.
    Can anybody help me ID this plant? It's a shrub.

    A [WIKI]Phytolacca[/WIKI] of some sort -- without additional photos of the entire plant, I don't think it can be identified to species.
