i have recently been given the task of finding plants (trees, shrubs, etc.) that will create a privacy 'hedge' between two yards .. the environment is: in a protected bay, seaside, eastern exposure; morning sun; very damp area of fresh water ..

any ideas are gratefully accepted .. thank you ..

Pacific wax myrtle might be possible, as it has done well on a sopping clay bank at the Government Locks in Seattle. It was also used there in a mixed wetland planting including more obvious choices such as bald cypress trees. Water pools during wet periods in the flat area where this planting was made.
