Here are some photos of my Maples. I'll post some photos here, and give you the link to a slideshow on Photobucket.

I got these photos in a brief window of time as fall colors started but before the huge storm came through that has been dumping rain for the past 3 days. By the time it stops raining, all my leaves will be gone...

Feel free to post your fall photos here if you'd like.

    Great colors sasquatch!.
Would you say that this year they are better than average in your area?
In my garden conditions have been perfect (in my opinion) for outstanding colors: lots of rain in October but concentrated in 3-4 days only, otherwise plenty of sunshine with cold nights.
I have just the coral bark group which has started to change. Here is one Sango kaku which up to now, all other years, was mainly yellow with some red tipping in the the outermost leaves. This year it shows significant reddening, great!

Three more pictures from Westonbirt and a couple of leaf close-ups.

We had a short cold spell that may have helped trigger the fall colors, but we've had alot of early rain and wind which is making for a short fall color season.
A few of my trees are showing incredible colors, and alot of my favorites look good as usual. I have seen several trees with disappointing colors, and some trees are still totally green.

Since I work with trees outside and see them continually, the photo in your collection that really jumps out for me is the 3rd one where the two leaves are the subject.

I really like trees where green is mixed with the orange and reds.

Should get out for a drive tomorrow and try out my new camera and lenses in the old NW or NE part of Portland and get some fall photos.

    Sasquatch,

What is the orange weeper in the last photo?

    Thanks!

Kaitan, that orange weeper is a Spring Delight. It got really intense yellows that turned orange before turning brown. This fall was much better color than the previous 2 yearss I've owned this tree. This past spring, the red colors that tip the leaves didn't appear, and so the spring show was quite the disappointment, just boring green leaves, no "Spring Delight" for me. I guess it made up for it this fall.

Wow great looking Autumn colors everyone!

I feel as if I might be gardening on a different, more horticulturally hostile planet.
It was a miserable year for plant mortality. Autumn color is not so great either. One standout this year is the bark on A.P. 'Japanese Sunrise'.

A.J. 'Aka Omote' is just beginning to glow.
