Hello, I am brand new to the forum, and I hope I am in the rigth spot. Rather invloved and complicated for an old fart like me! Anyway, I have a plant growing in my perenial flower bed, that is totally foriegn to me as well a my friends and neighbors. It has grown to a height of 3 feet, has a purple stalk as well as stems. It began to flower with tiny little cream colored flowers, that have bow become deep purple berries. I have attacehd several pics. If anyone knows what this is, could you pleae tell me? Thank you in advance for your help!

Really interesting, as this is an annual weed that pops up in my garden, but which I was reluctant to pull out as "King Parrots" came to feed on it when it's berries had matured.........also, would this be the plant referred to in the Poke Salad Annie song by Elvis??? just wondering.

I did not realise we had this weed here. Apparently is native.

Very interesting. wonder if it grows down here. Got plenty of parrots to eat it.

Not native in Australia - it is an invasive weed there though.
