Identification: Red Slime Mold ?

Any ideas what this is ?

 

my best guess (and it is just a guess) is fuligo septica

Fuligo septica does look the same, but it's yellow or peanut butter color.
I haven't seen it in red.

 

I know, neither have I, but I really can't find anything else. I'm waiting for an expert to id it.

Sorry, not finding anything (though I'm not an expert). Resources for slime molds are few and far between, I'm afraid.

 

I agree, looks like the scrambled-egg Slime (Fuligo septica) that happens to be red rather than yellow.

 

I call red slime molds Tubifera ferruginosa.
