Rhododendrons are wellknown for their flowers and sometimes scent. But there are also a few with exceptionel beautiful leaves like this one which is called Rhododendron yakushimanum x pachysanthum. The flowers are white with pink and will not grow much more than 1 meter in height. Here it is said to be very hardy and so it should be hardy in the Vancouver area. It is a rare plant of which there are only a few available each year. This picture was taken today.
