Yellow Flowering Shrub!

    Please help me identify this plant...

    Opposite simple leaves with reddish branching and cinquefoil-like flower.

    Hypericum maybe.

    Nice groundcover if it is. Wish my parents had planted that on the property where I grew up. The bigger the patch, the better I like it.

    Hypericum calycinum ... of course! I was introduced to the groundcover but should have realized that there was an upright version of it too. Thanks!
    Is this also known as St. John's wort?

    This will be one of those other, taller kinds rather than H. calycinum.
