what's this tree?

    can anybody help me ID this tree please?
    It is grown in Thailand but my friend and I have no idea what it is.

    I think it's a gum (Eucalyptus sp.). Ian Barclay at Desert Northwest (do a web search to find him) might be able to tell you which one.

    Thanks Ron. I've just found out that this tree might be Brachychiton populneus from Australia.

    It doesn't look like a eucalypt (gum tree). Have you ever seen it flower?
    There are, btw, 3 genera of 'eucalypts - Angophera, Corymbia & Eucalyptus, all belonging to the family Myrtaceae.
