    What type of blackberry is this please? It looks so civilised compared to the monsters that invade here. I once had one refered to as "the American Blackberry" which looks like this. The ones that over run us here are mutated English ones. Had 200 odd years to get really comfortable and flex their thorns.

    I have no idea, I just pick and eat them. I'll ask the forestry people that care for the area next time I'm there and see if they know.

    i have those same blackberries in my backyard, an id would be great if anyone knows what these are.

    Just look like Himalayan Blackberries to me -Rubus discolor.
