    Hi all,

Along with a Sunday Newspaper I purchased another plant!

The tag says the same thing as my last plant purchase. "Tropical Foliage, Partial Shade or Filtered Light, Ideal Growing Temp 55-70F, Keep soil moist".

It's a bit breezy today so please excuse the slight blur. Here's a pic!

    Thank you,
    Ian

Don't you just love the idiots that label plants like that? Looks like Dracaena Marginata but the pic is a bit fuzzy to me so others may have a better idea. barb

Aha, well that's mass cultivation for ya. I bought my Mom a Philodendron today also at the same store, guess what the label said.

I think you might be on to something Barbara. I did a Bing search on that name and read a couple articles that talked about the plants red-purple edging on the leaves.

Interesting to see what the definitive ID is, when I bought it I kinda figured it might have been a Dracaena of some kind. It reminded me of the 'Lucky Bamboo'.

So about how old are these plants when their stem turns bark like and starts looking tree like?
