Hi Everyone, I need some help to identify this tree...once I know what it is I can then research on how to save it! The top is still green, but it looks like its dying!

From the bark and growth habit, it looks like a choke cherry (Prunus virginiana). Can you post a closeup of the bark and/or the leaves?

Thanks Guys! I will take more pictures in the morning to confirm. In the mean time, does anyone know how I can save this tree? It's nice and old and a shame to see it go!

Prunus live hard and die young. However, all the trees in the shot look scrawny - and you have a bunch of rocks around them, perhaps have filled over them or dug near them as well. Cuts and fills can be murder on trees.

Agreed. If it is indeed a cherry, you're probably not going to save it. Looks like it lost a major bole near the base. They're pretty weak trees, which is a shame.
