Hi, I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with this product called Cloud Cover, and it's application for Japanese Maples. One of the nurseries I visited recently advised me that it was a very good product for preventing leaf scorch in the hot summers here (zone 9).

If anyone uses this product, I'd like to hear your success (or failure) stories. For those who do use it, when is a good time to apply? I would guess the best time would be as late in the season as possible...after most/all of the leaves have fully emerged and formed.

    Thanks!

I have used it before. However I used it to late in the season to be any good.

I was told by nursery a couple days ago, that you should use it around May 1st here in CA, and make sure you get both sides of the leaves.

Have you used it since your "late" application? Did you use the dilution ratio as per the directions (10:1)? The nursery around here was applying a product called "Moisture In" on their maples, but they were using it to kill aphids.
