Please help me ID this strange looking leaf

    A friend of mine sent me some pictures of this leaf.
    He was told it's in the Ficus family but he had no idea what it really was.
    Can anybody help us ID this plant?
    Thank you very much.

    I forgot to mention that all the leaves of the tree are the same as the one in the photos.

    I love leaves. I marvel at the many shapes and sizes that have evolved. What earthly use is it to this tree to have a pouch/ pocket at the bottom of it's leaves. Fascinating!

    Just as amazing to this ex Luddite@Machen is the www, that has so much information on it.... with pictures!
