I notice that UBC has this plant listed acc. # 036795-5475-2002. I have anumber of seedlings of this and Bowkeria verticillata from seeds from Silverhill. A few questions:
    Is it currently alive?
    Has it flowered?
Does anyone else grow it or B. verticillata, and do you know if they are reliably hardy here.

    TIA

Sorry to say all plants of Bowkeria cymosa at UBCBG are dead. There were 4 seedlings planted into the garden in 2003, where they grew until last year, probably wiped out by the extreme winter.

I will send a note to the curator to find out how they performed while alive.

    Hi John,
Our Bowkeria cymosa appeared as though it was meant to become a shrub. Ours never progressed beyond a die back perennial, to about 60cm each season. No flowers to report, either, and then it was suddenly gone.
