Hello, A nursery here on southern Vancouver Island promoted a spring fertilizer for mature roses that is comprised of 1 cup alfalfa meal, 1/4 cup of bone meal, 1/4 cup magnesium sulphate and 2 tbsp of paramagnetic (mineral?) soil. The first three ingredients are common enough, however the nursery in question was the only one selling the paramagnetic supplement. My question: is paramagnetic soil a viable ingredient; if so, why is it so hard to find? If not, what's the rationale for using it? Thanks
There is a theory that adding paramagnetic minerals promotes plant growth somehow. The theory does not seem to be scientifically well supported. (Paramagnetic means that something can be attracted by magnets.) http://www.ibiblio.org/ecolandtech/...sttea+soilfoodweb+soilquality/3/msg00111.html
