Identifying this plant???

    I live south of Bancroft, Ont. and all around here are what the locals call Wild Raspberries. These plants grow 3-4 ft. tall, haven't any thorns,the large leaves look like Maple leaves and the sweet fruit is large enough to cover the tip of ones thumb. What is it? What is it.jpg

    I wouldn't guess it from the photo, which doesn't enlarge, but from your description probably Rubus odoratus.

    Thank you Ron B. for helping me name this plant. I checked on the web and that's what it is. No one from around here knew and I now know, it is save to eat and make jam.

    It does enlarge for me. I'd agree with Rubus odoratus.
