What an incredible story, i've really enjoyed following this thread and with the new Seed Bank being opened in Europe to preserve seeds and DNA for posperity and future generations it seems it wasnt such a novel idea after all someone had already started. Fantastic. If you contact the guys at Kew Gardens in London they will be able to advise you on any liklihood of the seeds being viable or not. I read somewhere that they had some success not so long ago with a few of Darwins samples that he brought back a century ago.

Is there any news on what is happening to the collection? Is it going to a Botanical Institute to be preserved? Or experimented with?
