At the weekend 22 had died from cold related or snow related situations.

A&E are experiencing many broken limbs.

Pneumonia is affecting lots of people.

More accidents than normal because roads are not gritted.

When you next say a prayer because you need help thank God you live where you do.

 

So nice to see everyone back on again.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures of everyone sprouts.

 

Here's a shot of my Plumeria branch cutting - the pot is full of roots now!!!

...and if you notice at the top it's beginning to sprout some more leaves just in the last day or two! The sun's been shining more and more and has sparked it into growth. Hope I see some of the flowers this late winter because I was told I might. Although I've never smelled them before, they are said to be very aromatic. I will post more shots as it grows...

P.S. Blake, one of your moonflower seedlings is taking off for me - you can see it in the bottom right corner of the pic beside the plumeria pot...

 

HL funny the outside of the window looks like a view out a skyscraper onto some HKG or SINGAPORE like harbour in a hot hazy climat :-) not Canada :-)

My windows can get almost foggy in the winter if it's super cold out, and this is what you're seeing - a foggy view of things.

Here's a couple shots I also took today of my succulent baby burro's tail "burrito" cuttings sent to me by 'Laticauda'. They are growing like crazy for me this winter as you can see...

Seeds for the bleeding heart, look at this image of it:

The seeds came taped to a color image exact same as at the link. In the envelope is just three leafs with I think lol one seed in each leaf.

The plant seems to be a tree, 20ft if you live in warmer climates.

You can have one of those.

My fav is the white and orange Plumera because I just love to grow dainty in my border, (reason why I bought them) but its a tree lolol but imagine that when mature as a center piece in the lawn.

The seeds came really weird, like in a feathery leaf with the seed/s inside, I got three of those.

I agree the electric blue is awesome, and Vic yea lol its maybe been there for years. It also reminds me(shape) of Buddlea. -2 to -5 Vic.

How can you have a planted shrub left in the ground if its half hardy.

You can't keep planting, lifting. Best is a pot I would think.

 

Congrats on the new growth Hollyberry. I knew you would have it going in no time. Mine aren't even out of dormancy yet.... well done!

Sorry I havent posted for a while or logged on but I'm not long back from my travels around Mexico, from the heat of Cancun and the Yucatan jungle to the high altitude and freezing cold nights of Amecameca and Toluca at around 3,600 metres at the foot of the Volcanoes. It has been a shock to the system to arrive back to -6 and a few weeks worth of snow digging out the cars, though I've only had the tail end of it from what they tell me.

Its been great reading all the posts and catching up on everything. I have attached some of the pics of the flora and fauna from my travels especially of some of the beautiful gardens in the hotel we stayed in in Cancun.

Unfortunately I am back in Nottm, its done nothing but snow since we left the airport carpark, just when it seemed a thaw had set in yesterday its back snowing today and the car was iced over again. I think the heater in the greenhouse must be keeping the parafin company in business. Oh to be back in Yucatan with 35 degrees upwards to enjoy.

I can't wait for spring but I have been sowing some seeds in the last few days ready for early blooms and crops in April and May.

I see Lancashire has been colder than parts of Canada was that a -18 I saw on the BBC Website the other night. They said today that Vancouver has a heatwave with 11 degrees what a crazy world.

Welcome back to brrr...England. I just bobbed in to update Lorax on the weather here and that as soon as I am able to get off this complex I will send her seeds.

Yes its cold, yes we had snow. Anyone know if its glorious weather in say, New York...lmaooooooooooo because what they get we get later.

Today on a more serious note a child has died here falling on ice..R.I.P I hope the ones that are in charge of gritting..NOT..can live with theirselves.
