Identification: unknown house plant, please help!

    Hi there,

    Can anybody identify this house plant for me at all, please? A friend gave it to me a while ago and it's thriving, but I have no idea what it is. I'd love to find out.

    Might be a Clivia.

    Oh, thank you! It looks like that - I've never seen it flower though.

    Maybe it is a young plant that could be why it has not flowered. Definitely looks like a clivia!

    Mine likes to dry out inbetween waterings. I noticed some light green cankers on the leaf and I read some where that this is a sign of overwatering!

    It now seems to be enjoying life with less water!

    Mine was in full bloom when I purchased it.
