Amazing illustrations & original descriptions from 1835

    Here is a link to The British Flower Garden, Jan 1835. It is a complete book published on Google books. It has hundreds of original or early descriptions with fascinating snippets, in slightly antique English, about the discovery & culture of these plants.
    I've linked it directly to my favorite page, Datura sanguinea (now Brugmansia sanguinea), since growing these is my main hobby.
    If you like taxonomy, or even just great art, I think you'll enjoy these. :)

    Those are great! I love those kind of old plates. Does anyone know where i could find a good one of humulus lupulus?

    wow that is a great book. I might be reading more then just the hops sections. funny intro with the atropine.
