Identification: What kind of Sansevieria is this?

    Will it be okay to water into the top? Or should I avoid getting the water in there? Does it flower?

    Looks like a simple Sansevieria trifasciata cv.

    Yes, Sansevieria can and do flower. Mine has a lovely fragrance.

    sanseveria are different from bromeliads...water the soil rather than any 'cup' that might form.

    Thank you all.
    I bought this plant for my office, since it is one of the best air purifiers on the list. I have this and a Peace Lily.
    I was also thinking of getting an orchid. I need to bring some color into my office. It is white walls, no window, and oak colored furniture; very sterile looking. The green from the plants help, but I need more color.
