Hi . Back again with another plant to identify, I found this one growing in our garden I don't know where it came from.It has a fern type leaf and a pretty pink delicate little flower. I have included a picture to help in identify the plant. Is there anyone out there that has seen this one before.
    Gilbert.

Gilbert, it is not very clear from your pic which leaves belong to the flowers. Any chance of another pic showing the leaves? Is it a climbing/scrambling vine or low growing?

Please ignore!. Weather here foul, torrential downpours. However, when I was looking at your pic we had a rare short ray of sunshine. Now it is raining again. I can see pic very clearly!

Looks horribly like Geraniun robertianum. Common name Herb robert. A blinking nuisance of a weed here.

Looked similar to Geranium robertianum to me too at first, but the leaf serrations are different and smooth stemmed, not hairy, on the plant shown here . Seems G. rubescens is a synomyn of G. yeoi, from Madeira, Portugal.

A weed here too, the other sort I think as the flowers are smaller.
The plant smells strongly when I pull it out.
I wonder if it is good for anything.

That with small flowers is, probably, Erodium. It also grows everywhere.

Herb Robert produces small flowers, comes up by the millions as a nuisance plant in my region. Here one popping up in a pot on its own is a common occurrence. Another common name that has come into use locally is "Stinky Bob".

There is a tradition of medicinal use for this plant.

Thanks Chimera. Your identification [geranium yeoi] is spot on, I have never seen a geranium with a leaf like that before though.
Thanks also to all who replied to the post. We bought the house and garden because of the unusual plants and flowers that the old couple had in the garden, as well as a big work shop for me. It always amazes me as to the plants that come up in the garden that we have't planted.
    Thanks again Gilbert
