I have harvested seeds from a pinus parviflora negishi. I intend to give away for free as I do not need that many. I would support one or two shipments for free.

If anyone is interested, let me know.

Hi everybody, I started to think no one would want them and kept them in the fridge. I am glad you are interested and would like to send to all 3 of you. Now I was just waiting for kinghedes' agreement, but I am sure he would not mind. There are plenty of these seeds anyway. I did not count them but could be up to 50 for each.

    Thanks

Do you still have any seeds?

If you do 30 would be good for me...

    Thanks kinghedes!

Just counted them, 204 seeds, so still 50 for each. Now offer is closed.

Here is the mother plant, still small yet very productive. If I had left the cones on it it would have looked even nicer, but it would also been very difficult to extract the seeds or pick from the ground. I also kept about 100 seeds from an earlier gathering for myself, already in warm stratification. So that is it, I am not sure, but the next crop should be ready in 3-4 years.

"Seed requires 60 days warm moist stratification followed by 90 days cold moist stratification" (treeshrubseeds.com)

If you sow them outside in autumn, they will probably not sprout until the second spring. Good luck!

2 of the seeds sprouted, they only needed 2 months of warm stratification, probably because they were stratified right away. I used vermiculite, I am curious if more germinated below the surface

    good luck to you too
