Identification: Very Large Agaricus

    I found a troupe of three generations of these agaricus on the lawn of a local supermarket.

    The large one with the very dark brown gills is from a first flush, the ones with the tan gills (which were pink this aft) are from a second and the ones that don't have flattened caps yet are the third flush.

    They don't stain when cut and the spore print will be obviously brown, and the caps go a little coppery yellow where rubbed.

    Back away slowly, while maintaining eye contact but not raising arms or shouting. Do not hurry off until some distance away.

    You're definitely NOT supposed to maintain eye contact. It can be taken as a challenge.

    You are supposed to watch in a very indirect way.

    Yes, except those under my protection. I grow mushrooms.

    Oh, and they smell strongly of almonds when fried and are delicious with roast beef...

    Just to make sure I never step on any of these the next time I'm in Victoria .... EXACTLY where were these found ..... ?

    I would give you the GPS co-ordinates.....if I could only find a battery.
