Identification: Don't view while eating

    Is this a fungus? It was reported to not stink. Found in a suburban yard in Northeast Ohio today.
    Any ideas?

    Oh yummmmmy! lol
    This looks to me like the remains of what ONCE was a mushroom cluster...that then got attacked by a slime mold of some sort? I know that is rather 'basic' idea but I've noticed lovely blobs like this before that I've photographed through the process.
    Hopefully Stibella has an idea....a true slime mold follower! :o)
