Sherry lives about 3 hours away from me, but my daughter will be going to College where she lives though.

I just wondered cus I was reading last week how you would wait for Sherry's envelope before posting my seeds lol Anyway the poppy is what I am looking forward to growing next spring.

So that got me wondering you see Penny. I am always interested where people live if they are in the same location sort of. Example, you two being in Ontario.

I'm the same katlina i love to find out about new places and chatting to people allways seems the best way. Hope those poppies do well for you.

We will have to post some shots when we get our new banana plants. How exciting. I already have a big pot ready for mine, when it arrives.





Here's some shots of my blooming garden plants, that I took today...



1st shot is my 'White Swan' coneflowers that I transplanted into the garden. One of the few plants that the thieves didn't get.

2nd shot is my 'Mammoth Dark Pink' Chrysanthemums (mums) that I just bought a couple of days ago to cheer me up after the robbery. They look so much like Daisies, and they are perennial. They're in the ground so they likely won't be stolen.

3rd is my Osteospermum African Daisy plant, blooming away.

Hmmmm, how did i know you were going to ask that huh.......LOL.

I mailed off your seeds Katalina from Sherry and i......look for them toward the middle of the week.

 

Yes! I have another that started to develop and is nice and lop-sided. It seems they take a bit to decide whether or not to grow.

It is rather tasty, but I'd not recommend too much for dinner, I can still taste it even after some fourth-meal pizza!

 

Great Brugmansia Greerish I can't wait for mine to flower. Here are a few pics I took this week, I had my first Yellow Tomato and some great corgettes. Also a few of the fig trees in my neighbours garden at the back of our house. i read on one thread on this site that somebody said Fig trees won't grow in the UK well these prove they are wrong, as I've always said Nottingham has its own micro climate. Also some of my Gladioli that were broken off in the monsoon showers we had yesterday. I went out and bought around 70 bulbs yesterday of Tulips and crocus for next year as some om my bulbs need refreshing in the beds, I got some black tulips double crocus in purple and some variagated red and whit double tulips. Cant wait for spring now.

I am trying to sprout Fig seeds from a grocery store fruit, but no luck. I may buy a tree from a great source in Quebec next Spring.

ShearMe, I am so proud of you that you grew my seeds into those gorgeous melons! What a great job you did. Now you can spread Honeydew seeds everywhere, like me.



Did you ever take seeds for my Canary melon, Zac? They are small melons with bright yellow skin and pink flesh. One of the most sweetest melons I ever tasted in my life. I still have fresh, viable seeds for them, and could send you some for next year. You won't believe how awesome they are!

I don't think any seedlings made it, but I remember sowing more canary seeds than honeydew. :\

I'll try again next year, but if you still have fresher seeds once you go about sending me a ruby pup I'd be glad to receive some. ;)

Today I completely lost it...lmaoooo and spent £11 om my spring bulbs, even though my new Violas are due in october.

I can't wait that long to be busy lol

just checked on my lily scales they're sprouting beutifully, I'll post pics in a wee bit.

 

here's 3 of the scales i should have another 4 berried in the bag but didnt want to go rooting about too much incase i did some damage.

I love new beginings and spring bulbs give me that. N ext week I hope to buy some Bluebells and white bells.

Week after that we'll see.

Then in spring again I have seeds from accrosas the pond to try..exciting times lie ahead after the cold, wet winter of England..

I planted 320 Spring bulbs last Fall, but this Spring it was so well worth the effort. Mostly tulips and hyacinths for me, but what a show. Here's some inspiring pics of my 2009 Spring bulbs, Katalina...
