Crapemyrtle made it through

    I thought my Acoma Crape myrtle was dead but left it in the ground anyway.
    Yesterday I noticed it was finally flushing out. Yea!!

    Just thought I'd share that little piece of info.

    SW Ontario 65 miles west of London / 33 miles sout
    Crepe myrtle needs some heat to activate and is a root hardy resprout to at least -10F . I know this because there are many growing on my property in Deep SW Ontario that have overwintered for the last 7+ years . When August arrives the flower display is quite lovely and it lasts for the 6 weeks that follows . Enjoy !!!

    I hacked mine to pieces and it still grows too! These are hardy plants indeed. ;)
