I am concerned about my pole beans. I planted the seeds about a month ago and the plants are growing well but some of the mature leaves are wilting and curling at the edges. Any thoughts about what could be causing this? I am watering with a spray pattern type sprinkler about every second day in this dry weather.

sounds like the soil isn't getting soaked enough. can you set up a drip line so that water is being delivered (slowly) right to the roots each day?

I am setting up the irrigation today. I will take this into consideration.
I watered with a sprinkler about 2 hours ago so I will have a probe and see how deep the water soaked in. \
    Thanks for your help.

Taitism, if you do this watering you speak of, wait a day and use a hand shovel to see the depth. The meter is so misleading. Use a journal to document watering time and effect.
