maples at Chelsea flower show 2009

    Thanks Alex! Some great pictures, though I have to say I'm not particularly fond of the British
    "hard landscaping" style we see in the last one...

    Which of our British suppliers were there, any of interest? I know Mallet Court sometimes does
    the show.

    Were there any _other_ (not Japanese) maples on view, that were of interest? What's in the 3rd
    pic, maybe "red noses?" :)

    this year Mallet not does the show,not see another maples ,only pic 115, Hillier is present, the pic 44 is our stand (Shirraz)but not is in show Hiller's Summer Gold, sigh!

    There were very few maples at the Philly flower show.

    nice job, alex.
    I lived right near the flower show in Chelsea for years and they always did a great job.
    I picked up my love of plants & gardening living in England. Like the Japanese, the
    British are great gardeners.

    The first picture could be Hippopottering as I believe they displayed again this year.

    The "hard landscaping" in the last picture was designed by Tomoko Osonoe
