I already have a "Honeywood" saskatoon plant and was looking for "Martin" saskatoon. I was in a garden centre today and saw a plant that had leaves like saskatton plant and had some fruit bunches that also looked like saskaton berry bunches. I thought it has to be a saskatoon plant. However, the label indicated "Martin serviceberry". I bought it conditionally to find out if it could be saskatoon. Is anyone familiar with Martin serviceberry that is different from Martin saskatoon? If they are different, how do they (saskatoon vs. serviceberry) compare as for as the fruits are concerned (size, taste etc)?

When today I noticed Martin serviceberry with leaves and bunches like saskatonn then I thought that there is high probability that these may be interchangeable names. Thanks for your quick response.
