    Hi,

Please help identify my houseplant, which looks like some type of fern.
It has sharp white hooks along the stems, and it likes to climb/grow vertically.

It is not doing well and I am wanting to propagate it. If I take a cutting and put it in water, a teeny-tiny root appears and then the cutting dies or gets mouldy. I don't see any spores.

It looks like Asparagus to me, however I don't know which one it is. It is often called Asparagus Fern.

Thanks Dylan, I double checked and it's an Asparagus Plumosa.
Apparently, not a "fern" but is actually a relative of the asparagus vegetable.
I'll post elsewhere to find out how to propagate.
