Can anyone tell if this tree is red pygmy? It started out green now its is turning as reddish pink color. Any help you can give me, I would be happy.

Red Pygmy has a very lacy leaf and should be easily recognised. The colour doesn't seem right either.

"Closer, come c-l-l-o-o-o-ser". I can't make out much detail with this shot.

The tree has been getting more red/pink in the last few days. I will submit another picture in a couple of days.

Looks more like Villa Taranto at first glance. The compactness, leaf color, and the green on new growth looks pretty colse to the way it should. Another picture in a few days or weeks a bit closer still would be great.

Pictures 5/1/05 can anyone identify. The label says Red Pygmy. Is this correct?

Red Pygmy and Villa Taranto are very similar plants. I find it is difficult to distinguish between the two

I also have a tree whose identity isn't clear (Brocade? Ornatum?) I fussed about identifying it for a year or so, and then decided simply to enjoy its beauty. Yours certainly is stunning!
