    Hmmm. Perhaps a desiccated Rose-of-Sharon hibiscus sort of thing.
    Any chance the client could bring in a fresher specimen?

    I agree with your sentiment.
    The flowers were too small for the Rose of Sharon, but I'm going to suggest a new specimen.
