    Hi all,

Attached are 2 images of two plants a friend saw on a local hike in the San Gabriel mountains in LA, California. So a pretty dry climate mostly. They seemed common on the side of the trail, so they must be fairly common species?

    Thanks for your help!

#1 might be Sweet Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)

The second one looks like Salvia apiana.

You guys are fast! Sweet Fennel and White Sage definitely seem to be right. That wasn't even a challenge at all I bet. :)
