I have an ornamental banana tree planted in the yard.
While clearing some dead stems, I noticed the plant was above the dirt line with roots starting to emerge. Should I raise the dirt line or leave alone ?

If the roots are coming up evenly, add some dirt. If they're coming up in spikes, let them alone as the plant is pupping (making offshoots).

They're not comming up, but out from the base of the tree at the dirt line. Just nubs at this point. Need a pic. ?

    Thanks.

If it's nubs, it's the beginning of pups. Let it be!
