The plants pictured were grown from commercial seed (Chiltern Seeds) purchased in 1982. The name "moorianus minor" is a bit of a mystery, however. We would love to know the actual hybrid parentage, and whether others are cultivating these plants under this or other names.

There are two methods for procuring plant material from UBC Botanical Garden. Educators and scientific researchers can request material by filling out our materials transfer form, which spells out the terms and conditions of such transfers. Otherwise, our Shop in the Garden sells packets of many kinds of seeds (collected by our volunteers) to UBC Botanical Garden visitors.

Has anyone successfully started an agapanthus from seed pods?

If so, what is the most successful method. I am addicted and his is my favorite perennial by far!
