This photograph was taken outside the Alabama Shakespeare Festival theater, during the first week of July. The plant is large, approximately eight feet tall and 3 feet in diameter. Close examination of the flowers reveals that the white parts have a sugar- like and textured appearance. The yellow portion of the flower appears to be smooth and is comparatively lacking in texture.

    Thanks in advance.

Ron, thanks for the reply! As per your recommendation, I have looked at several hundred images of Brunfelsia. Thus far, I have been unable to find any images of Brunfelsia that exhibit a similar central morphology to that visualized in the image I posted. Am I missing something?

    Again, thanks for your assistance.
