Please help ID this groundcover and lawn pop-up

    First photo is of a ground cover that I found under a friends bushes years ago. It produces sweet little 3/8" (pansy-like) blue flowers in spring.

    Second is this strange plant that has popped up in 3 places in my lawn.

    Is either native? Invasive? Noxious Weeds?

    Luddite, You've done it again. Thanks for helping me out with so many plants! I'm so glad to know about that groundcover finally. It is so sweet!

    Luddite, I wonder after further research what the difference is between chamaedrys (Germander Speedwell) and umbrosa (Georgia Blue) is? They look quite similar to this untrained eye.
