Last week these yellow mushrooms (pic1) appeared in the plant pot next to me. They were removed, but last Friday they started growing (pic2), now today they have grown substantially.

Are these dangerous, should I be worried or can we watch the progress of these strange mushrooms ?

    Thanks

Well, at least it's not a slime mold... They keep coming back because what you're picking (the mushroom part) is only the fruiting body. The main fungus is all distributed in tiny threadlike structures through the soil.

The mushroom itself is naggingly familiar, but I can't quite place it....

What exactly is on top of your soil? Small potatoes?

:P Those look like expanded clay pellets for hydroponics.

    Small potatoes. :P Haha that's awesome. :)

What's wrong with having slime moulds in your plant pots ;-) I'd give an arm & a leg...

I don't mind them myself; it's just that the South American slime molds have this smell.... Other than that, I love fungus in all of its variable and wonderful forms. I just wish that somebody had studied it a bit more thoroughtly for Ecuador so I knew more what I was looking at.
