Suggestions for a word that these mandala images evoke, a complementary quote, or some history or other information about the flower itself are most welcome.

    Thanks,

the center is the abyss and the color of hydrangeas has always soothed and delighted me since i was very young. the scary thing is, if i were tumbling toward a black nothingness, i would gladly relax into it if surrounded by this shade of blue. or so i think when i see these 2 images. an odd (morbid?) thought to be sure but there it is. Gardener goth perhaps?

also i understand that blues in the garden in general are particularly cherished by some gardeners? i read that in one of my mother's many gardening books - but i will have to get back to you on which one if i think of it.

The beautiful forms and patterns remind me of a "kaleidoscope"
