I am looking for a SMALL tree or large shrub that can be pruned into a mock tree (no more than 7 ft. tall mature) preferably flowering which does well in the shade (less than 4 hours sun). Any ideas or am I reaching too far here? lol.

I have seen hydrangea pruned up into a mock tree form (3-4 ft. high), they would appreciate the shady spot. You can order one through various online nurseries for a reasonable price.
