Identification: Please Identify (philodendron?)

    I think this is a philodendron but I cannot find a photo that match. Maybe just the leaf shape to an amatuer gardener.

    Compare with Maranta - commonly called Prayer Plants. It's not an aroid, but rather a member of the Ginger family.

    I agree with Lorax. Definitely a Maranta Called a Prayer Plant because the leaves fold together at night. Likes medium light, never direct sun, and moist soil.
