Please find to follow 2 pictures of our Robellini Palm.

We have had this plant for less than a year.
We keep it upstairs by the window - no drafts and no direct sunlight.
Haven't noticed any bugs or root rot.

Use filtered water and muracid once a month during the winter.

Please advise on how we can revive our plant.
Does this happen often to this plant? Should I leave the trunk or should I cut it off? Will it ever sprout new leaves again?

    I think it's dead.

Agree the main stem is dead, but the 'pup' at the base is OK.

Does this happen often? Is there something I did wrong. I would hate for this to happen if I were to buy another one. Should I leave the trunk or cut it down to base?
