...thought a few of you might be interested in the project I've been working on, so here's the brochure... Oh, and the site is password-protected for now, so no point in visiting it yet.

To be narrated by W.C. Fields? Oh wait - that was "Honest John".

What a legacy, "Botany John" left behind, working with many others to see Garibaldi Park created. I hope some of the "Dirt" is in the site also.
Picture of a dedication plaque at Riverview, the tree is doing great. And the other is at the Botanical Garden at Riverview Hospital,(Essondale). The last one is a portion of a map of the Garibaldi area from the First botanical report, note that some of the land features named, have changed through the years.

I should point out that the brochure (and indeed the site) was designed by Lindsay McGhee, the granddaughter of one of Davidson's students.

    Sharp looking design.

Gives a sort of "standing tall" impression with him and the big trees.

    Nice colors.

He looks like a mountain behind those silhouettes of subalpine fir. Tall, indeed.

Very very nice. Easy to see there has been hours of work put into this. He looks so proud standing tall behind the trees. Almost ghostly. Can't wait til I can see the site. Thanks Daniel.

A few more details now available: Botany John preview. Won't be too long now, the review of the site has been completed. I just have some clerical / housekeeping stuff to do with the project before it can launch.

Ayup, I've just been too busy to make a big splash about it. I still need to finish off a few things with it (nothing to do with the site itself) and get them off to Ottawa before the end of the fiscal year.

Being from the US, I've been good at western and California botanists, but entirely missed Davidson. Pity.
